I mean, you can take any ambiguous ‘quote’ and spend 3 minutes in photoshop to get something like this. Works much better with landscapes (rainy, preferably) and close-ups of hand-holding.

And that’s why no one listens to us when we actually know what we’re doing.

An open letter to Stock Photographers

Guys, I really REALLY like your stuff. I mean that. I couldn’t do my job without you and your photos.

But when you ask for 200 dollars for an 8.5x11 photo of some lady laughing outside in the winter, I have no words for you. Especially when the small, 72DPI version that I could barely print onto a business card is 10 bucks. Give me a break, here.
